Minutes from Wellington 350 meeting December 2, 2009

Kia ora best little group of environmentalists in the whole world ever (always such a pleasure seeing you all!)
Here are the minutes and action points from the meeting December 2, 2009.

1. Talked about the environmental reference group of Wellington City Council. They are looking for new members. See the details below and let us know if you would be keen to be nominated. Action: Rachel to call Zach to get more details about what it involves.
2. Climate Camp. Babs and maybe Marie are going to be going to this. Climate Camp organisers are keen to start a dialogue with us. If anyone has any ideas about how we could do this, or participate in the camp, let Babs or Marie know.
3. The March: A few 350 crew will be at this. Wear your 350 T-shirt if you are going and have one. Willemijn to let people know details of where to meet as a 350 crew?

4. Candles on Courtenay
We discussed the logistics of this, and came up with the following.
• Details: 8.30pm-9.15pm, Saturday December 11, on the paved area outside St James Theatre/Penny Farthing Cycles/Burger Fuel
• Check we are allowed to do it: Nic
• Comms: Email everyone on Wellington list (Willemijn (and Rach and Josh?)), put event on Intersect (Charlie), Facebook it (Nic and Marie) Capital Times (Willemijn), Wotzon websites etc. (Stu) Posters in hostels (Ashlee)
• Write blurb describing what we are doing: Rachel
• Supplies: Marie to look in to getting some free organic candles. Everyone else needs to collect as many jars as they can. Rach to ask jar company if they have seconds we could have.
• Invitation to MPs and councillors: Babs, Rach, Willemijn
• Website: Josh and Willemijn
• Banners and Signs: All of us next Wednesday, Josh, Rachel, Stu, James?
• Media: Marie to ask Sophie and Joanna
• Fliers to hand out on night: Emma
• First aid kit
• Babs to let Greens know. Ashlee to let Greenpeace know, and Marie Jonathan Boston
• Register our action? Willemijn
